The proposals are for up to 200 much needed new homes and will deliver an appropriate mix of housing for first time buyers and young families including 70 (35%) affordable housing.
The scheme is set to deliver significant community benefits including a substantial area of green open space (approximately 70% of the site) which will include children’s play areas, community orchards and allotments alongside pedestrian footpaths and cycleways – providing a range of opportunities for recreation.
The proposals would enhance the landscape by increasing tree cover with the creation of new areas of native woodland, whilst also providing a range of opportunities for biodiversity enhancements.
The site extends to approximately 60 acres and comprises of five agricultural fields together with a small collection of farm buildings and a residential bungalow located in the north-western corner.
